Rules & Policies
Annual Membership: A membership is required for all students (except adults) upon registering into the program in order to take classes. The membership must be renewed each year on the initial month of registration in order to remain in the program. Members will receive discounted rates for private lessons; however, students must be actively taking classes in our program in order to receive this benefit.
Attire: Girls are expected to wear a leotard to every class (except the trial class). This is the safest/proper athletic attire for this sport. If you do not have a leotard, then leggings or shorts with a fitted top are acceptable. Boys are expected to wear shorts or leggings and a fitted top. Students must have bare feet or non-slip socks. Hair must be pulled up and away so that the eyes and face are fully visible. No rings, bracelets, necklaces or hoop earrings permitted. No jeans or baggy clothing permitted.
Gym Rules: Only students registered in our program are allowed in the practice gym. Please refrain from instructing or coaching from the sidelines. All spectators must remain in the provided viewing area or in the parking lot during the entire duration of the class time. Children that are not in the class must be directly supervised by an adult at all times. A parent/guardian must always accompany the child into and out of the building. Children are never to be left alone. To ensure your child’s safety, parents are expected to pick up the child promptly at the end of the class.
Restroom Regulations: For the safety of your child and our staff, staff is not permitted to assist any child in using the restroom unless in the case of an emergency. If your child needs restroom assistance, you are to remain on the premises at all times.
Make-up Class Policy: If a student is enrolled in one class weekly, then the student is allotted only ONE make-up class per month. If a student is enrolled in two classes weekly, then the student is allotted only TWO make-up classes per month. The student must have an active membership and be up-to-date with payments in order to make-up a class. Make-up classes are not permitted if the student’s account has an outstanding balance. Make-up classes are only for a student that has missed a class during our operational business hours. All make-up classes must be scheduled in advance via email or in the office. The class must be taken within 30 days of the missed class, otherwise it is forfeited.
Observed Holidays: We close for New Year, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. There are no make-up classes for these days. Monthly tuition is based on 4 weeks per month. Some months have 5 weeks which results in an extra class for your child at no extra cost. Throughout the calendar year, this extra class balances out for when we close for the holidays. We do not follow the metro school policy for holidays/breaks (example: we do not close for fall break or spring break).
Inclement Weather: For any sudden changes in the class schedule due to weather, check our Facebook page, Instagram page or email us. We don’t follow metro school policy for inclement weather. We do allow make-up classes if we close for inclement weather.
Withdraw from Program: A two weeks' notice must be sent via email to withdraw from the program. You are financially responsible for tuition until the end of the notice regardless of the student's attendance.
June & July Summer Make-Up Class Policy: We understand that families travel during the summer months. In order to help with your traveling schedules, we allow all missed classes to be made up during this time. Drop-In Rate: We understand sometimes you have a friend or a cousin visiting from out of town and he/she wants to tag along in a class. Drop-ins are permitted for $25 per class. A waiver of liability must be signed and completed by his/her parents or guardian either in our office or via email before taking the class.
