Former Romanian Olympic Team Member , Ms. Gaby, has been changing children's lives at Gaby's Gymnastics School Inc. since 1995! This year marks her successful gym's 20th anniversary!!! Gaby has great expertise and a huge heart. She has a deep love and understanding of the sport of gymnastics.

Gaby earned her Master in Gymnastics (Maestru al Sportului in Gimnastica) in Romania in 1979 at the age of 13 when she was ranked 63rd best gymnast in the world and the 10th best Romanian gymnast.

She began gymnastics when she was 7 years old with Rodica Apateanu at C.S.S. Triumf in Bucharest. In 1978 she was selected by Petru Ioan to be part of an exclusive group to train for the 1980 Olympic Games.

After winning Bars and the All Around at the 1979 National Junior Championships, she joined the National Olympic Team at Deva, coached by the infamous Bela Karolyi and his wife Martha Karolyi. Some of her teammates were Nadia Comaneci, Emilia Eberle, Lavinia Agache, Melita Ruhn, Ecaterina Szabo, Rodica Dunca, Marilena Neacsu, Dumitrita Turner and Marilena Vladarau.

Gaby came to the United States in December of 1989 and coached for three years before she opened her own gym. Since then. she trained gymnasts all the way to Level 10 and became a USA  Junior Olympic Team Coach for Women's Artistic Gymnastics.

As a former Romanian National Team Member, competed internationally as a Junior Elite between 1975-1980 in Germany, Bulgaria, China, Hungary, Soviet Union, Poland, Checkoslovakia (XV Spartakiada), Israel (11th International Games of Hapoel in May 1979), London (Coca-Cola in December 1979), Moskow News (March 1980), and was training to represent Romania in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. An injury ended her Elite career early but she has brought her experience to the United States for all her students to share at Gaby's Gymnastics.

Gaby's biggest pride is her 26 year old son, Alexander Mihai, who earned a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Tech University and her 24 year old daughter, Cora Lisa who competed all the way to Level 10 and college gymnastics at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and graduated with a B.S in International Business. She is now working alongside her mother in the gym to continue the family legend.

Svetlana Boguinskaia: Svetlana choreographs the team's floor routines with much grace and beauty. She is a Three-time Olympian ('88, '92, '96) representing the Soviet Union, Five-time World Champion and Three-time Olympic Gold Medalist! As an athlete, she was especially renowned for the drama and artistry she displayed on floor exercise and she helps our girls display their own passion in their routines.
Cora Bagoli: Cora has the Romanian artistry in her blood! Well known for her beautiful and unforgettable floor performances, she transfers her energy and love for performing into the girl's floor and beam routines.  While competing gymnastics in college at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, she choreographed a handful of her college teammates' routines as well as the young group of competitive gymnasts she coached in college at SEGA. Cora is our on-site choreographer and is available for any gymnast from any gym. She also choreographs routines for upcoming talent shows, pageants or school shows.

Lucy Wener Fox: Lucy was Gaby's primary floor and beam choreographer from 1998 to 2009. Lucy is an International Brevet Judge. She was an All American at the University of Georgia and is an Inductee in the SEC Hall of Fame. Lucy's floor routines brought us many State and Regional Champions and National Qualifiers. She choreographed all of Cora's fun routines.
